Options for clinic appointments for patients during Covid-19 outbreak.
Introducing VIRTUAL CLINIC appointments

In order to protect patients and our medical staff from coming into contact with coronavirus carriers during the current crisis, Twin Cities Orthopedics has decided to limit in-person clinic visits to URGENT conditions only.  We are asking you to delay scheduling in-person clinic visits for non-urgent conditions until CDC recommendations allow for such visits.  In an effort to continue to care for your non-urgent condition, we invite you to schedule a VIRTUAL APPOINTMENT  (i.e. over the internet) with us to evaluate your condition.  Although VIRTUAL appointments do have limitations, it will allow some physical examination and the opportunity to address your concerns.

You have an issue that does not require an appointment
That is...

- You need a follow up visit WHERE X-RAYS WILL BE REQUIRED to evaluate a fracture or the results of a recent surgery.

-  You broke a bone, cut a tendon, or have a severe cut of the skin.

- You have a possible infection.

- You had a crush injury to your finger or hand.

- You were referred for an urgent visit from a primary care doctor, emergency room doctor or urgent care

​- You have stitches that need to be removed.

- You require a cast change or removal.
That is...

- You would like an evaluation over the internet ( with  Zoom or FaceTime) with Dr. Karlstad.

​- We will assist you in using the Zoom/FaceTime platform.

- You need a follow up for a condition where X-rays will NOT be required.

- You do NOT require a cast change/removal or suture removal.
That is...

- You simply need an updated work slip.

- You have disability forms that need to be filled out.

- You need an updated therapy prescription.

- You are doing well following and want to tell us you are doing well instead of coming in for an evaluation.
