This video demonstrates a Trapeziectomy and Suture Suspensionplasty Procedure, This is a modification of the LRTI procedure (see above) that uses a suture to stabilize the thumb instead of a tendon. This has the advantage of avoiding sacrificing a normal tendon. This procedure is often utilized by Dr. Karlstad for first carpometacarpal joint arthritis.
